It's about time= finally = finalmente

Americans use "It's about time" when something that should have already happened, finally happens.


Did you know that Peter and Angela are getting married?
Sai che Pietro e Angela si sposano ?

Really?  It's about time.
Davvero?  Finalmente.

It's about time the bus arrived.
