Gross! =  Che Schifo!
Warning...very gross picture.

Originally, Gross meant "big" or "large".  But for the last 40 years (at least) gross has meant Disgusting.

If something makes you want to vomit (throw-up, puke, spew, blow chunks, barf) the you call it "gross"

Conversation Example:

Bob: I ate some used gum I found on the side walk.
Ho mangiato dello chewing gum trovato per strada.
Jack:  Gross Bob!
 Che Schifo Bob!

Stacie: I stepped in Dog poop!
ho pestato la popo di cane.
Bob:  Eww gross, that stinks.
Che Schifo!  Puzza!

Video Example: An injury can be "gross".

The following video shows a gross injury.

Like a Pro/ She's a Pro = Professionale

Pro =  Professional
professionale

Pro is short for "professional".  Even if someone isn't literally a professional you can describe them as a "pro" in order to say they are very talented.

This ad suggests that you "Network like a Pro" meaning "be really good at networking"

Conversation Example:

"He is really a pro at his work."

"She dances like a pro."

Video Example:

This video is about "Packing like a Pro"
